The government will be developing a private industrial property, which is part of a plot measuring 1.23 hectares, for public housing. The property is located at Number 16 King George’s Avenue.
Government to acquire private site for public housing plans
In a joint statement recently made by Singapore Land Authority and the Housing and Development Board, the plot is being attained under the Land Acquisition Act. Both agencies have stated that the plot has been zoned to be used residentially under the Master Plan. It is located at the intersection of King George’s Avenue and Syed Alwi Road. Aside from this piece of private land, the area is made up mostly of state land that has been vacant.
New HDB Units Available
According to a statement made in a recent publication by Singapore Land Authority, which announced the acquisition and the area affected by it, both SLA and HDB are giving its assistance to the owner of the land in dealing with any concerns or questions regarding the acquisition.
SLA and HDB have also stated that, once the plans are ready, they will be able to give out more details and information on this housing development.
