The newly launched Yuan Ching Road Lake Life Executive Condominium site is, so far, the only newly launched project to be situated at Tao Ching and Yuan Ching Roads
According to the URA website, the soon to come EC will be located at Taman Jurong. It will run along Tao Ching Road and Yuan Ching Road and holds a 99 year leasehold tenure and an approximate 20,187.7 square meter total plot size. The EC will be adjacent to the Jurong Secondary School and across from the Fairway Golf Course.
Lake Life EC Yuan Ching Road
Lake Life EC will have convenient access to a number of transportation options, such as the Lakeside East West Line Station, which is about 1.4 kilometers from the Yuan Ching Road parcel. Also available at the sites doorstep is the Public Bus depot which will serve to bring future residents straight to the train station. The site is a short 14 minute drive from the financial sector and about 16 minutes from the well-known Orchard Shopping area. With the PIE and AYE expressways giving island wide access, future residents will find commuting convenient and efficient.
Food, Shopping and Supermarkets
There is a wide array of shopping options within walking distance of the Lake Life EC, like the Taman Jurong Shopping Center. One can also find a good choice of produce markets, local food sources and shops for buying the day to day necessities. Also in close proximity are:

District 22 Facts
Since the 1950’s South West District 22 was set aside for industrial development. Lake Life EC consists of Tuas, Boon Lay and Jurong. Boon Lay derives its name from a prominent businessman named Chew Boon Lay. He owned the land during the late 19th century into the early 20th century where the Boon Lay area now sits.
The Chinese Garden, which is a hot spot for tourists, was constructed in 1975. An architect from Taiwan designed it. Every year it is host to the mooncake festival celebration. The celebration is now famous and is known for the lighting of beautiful lanterns.
Lake Life EC
URA’s Masterplan is working to transform District 22 into a leisure and commerce hub. The Jurong Lake District section, 360hs, is where development for one of Singapore’s largest commercial hub, Jurong gateway, will reside. The Lakeside section is set to be developed into a top waterfront leisure spot.
Lake Life EC is expected that the focus on the west will assist in decentralizing the commercial and core business activities across the Singapore Island. It is also expected that, as new residential projects are finished, more people will move to the area. This has been viewed as a demonstration of the Government putting into action what was planned.
Three hotels are being planned with the first being built near Jurong East central. The remaining two will be constructed by the lake and will serve clients from the Business and Industrial Park. Because it is deemed as a good area to invest in, it has been noticed that pricing has increased substantially in the area.
Due to a growing demand for this area, existing condominiums such as Lakeshore, Parc Oasis and Caspian have all benefitted from the increase. It hasn’t just been condominiums that have seen a rise in prices. HDB prices have also risen rather quickly too. Prices have risen as high as $80,000 to $100,000 for toh Guan COV’s.
New residents of Lake Life EC are also expected to be drawn in by the projected completion of a 700 bed general hospital by 2015. Lake Life EC will mainly be the higher demand for professionals that brings more people into District 22.
